lily's world XD Black Light
Black Light is a word hidden in the Maze Game, and it is not the same thing as the password for the folder that sends you there. Here is how to reach it, and where the phrase comes back.
Quick answer
Open the Maze Game, move the cursor all the way left and then all the way up, and click three times in the corner. The hidden words Black Light appear. It is written as one word in most transcripts, and the phrase returns at the end of the game, when Iris sends a photo of Lily's letter under a blacklight.

Two different things called Black Light
The name is used for a mid-game secret and for a late-game photo. Knowing which one you are looking at saves a confusing detour.

The mid-game word is easy to miss because nothing in the game tells you to look for it. It is worth finding anyway, because the conversation it unlocks is the one that explains how Lily and Iris passed notes.
How you end up in the maze
The maze is not a menu option. The desktop hands control to it after the Secret Folder, so you arrive there whether or not you want to.
After you open the Secret Folder, a command window takes over the desktop, and a hidden file transfer runs while you are dropped into the Maze Game. Several walkthroughs read that sequence as the game showing you the moment someone else is on Lily's machine.
The Diet Log note inside the Secret Folder is what points here. One line in it describes a private project for Iris, and notes from that section are where the maze search begins.
Finding the hidden word
The sequence is short, but the mouse has to travel the full width of the board before the corner click will register.
- Open the Maze GameLaunch it from the desktop if you are returning for the secret, or wait for the game to drop you in during the story sequence.
- Take the cursor all the way leftKeep moving until the pointer stops, comfortably past the purple path. The clue does not respond to a partial move, so use the edge of the board as your reference.
- Then all the way upFrom that left edge, move straight up into the upper-left corner. One walkthrough adds that moving slowly helps the pointer keep tracking, which is the practical reason a fast sweep can fail.
- Click three timesThree clicks in the corner reveal the hidden words. If nothing appears, move out of the corner and repeat the full left-then-up sweep rather than clicking again on the spot.
Where the clue goes next
The word itself has almost no immediate use. What matters is who you tell about it.
Tell Iris once you are out of the maze. She responds by talking about the two of them passing secret messages with spy pens, which is the detail the ending later relies on. That conversation is the payoff for the corner trick; without it, the hidden word is just a curiosity.
The phrase returns much later, when Iris sends a photo of Lily's letter photographed under a blacklight. Reading it reveals the Radiant Path address and Lily's login for the Members Area, which is the point where the Incident Report becomes reachable.
Is the corner worth finding
The hidden word is not on the achievement list and does not gate any site. It gates a conversation.
- Nothing else in the game checks whether you found it, so skipping it will not stop you from finishing.
- It is not time-sensitive. You can come back to the Maze Game from the desktop and run the sequence later if the story moment passes you by.
- If you are following the main route anyway, the maze visit costs you one detour while you are already there.
Players who chase it later usually do so for the conversation rather than the word, because that exchange is one of the few places the game explains how the two of them hid things from the adults around them.
