Where the choice appears and what you type

The fork is a normal reply in the Seclink conversation, not a menu with a countdown. It arrives after the computer resets and after you have read Iris's message, and you answer it exactly as you have answered every other message in the game.

Iris's message before the prompt is the same in both independent guides that document this scene. She says she is not a kid anymore, that she wants to take them down starting with Evelyn, that she wants to make them grovel with regret, and that she wants to watch their world burn. The reply box opens on that line.

What has to happen before the prompt

The fork does not open on a fresh save. It sits at the end of a sequence that starts with the members login and runs through a reset, so here is the order if you are checking whether you are actually stuck.

1. 01Read the blacklight photo and reach the Members AreaThe Radiant Path Members Area opens with the credentials the late-game photo reveals. Without that login you never reach the scene the fork belongs to.
2. 02Login to the Members AreaOne walkthrough uses the doctor's email and password directly, and notes that the forgot-password route also works as a shortcut. Either gets you past the door.
3. 03Let the cutscene and the Iris conversation play outThe cutscene triggers after the login and is followed by a Messenger exchange with Iris in which she lays out what she intends to do and then cuts the conversation short.
4. 04Wait for the computer to resetThe desktop wipes itself as part of the story. Recovered Files and the reset versions of the apps appear, and this is the point after which the Seclink route becomes available again.
5. 05Reopen Seclink and answer IrisSeclink takes the eight-digit code in the order one guide prints it. Once you are in, Iris's message arrives and the two replies become selectable. Nothing in the sequence is timed, so you can read the trigger line at your own pace.

What actually differs between the two outcomes

The recipient of the files, and nothing else that either source could find.

A Spanish-language guide states the position most plainly: the endings have no difference at all, and the only thing that changes is what you do with the files. The two English guides support the same reading, describing the revenge route as sending everything to the members and the expose route as handing it to the police. No source describes separate scenes, separate epilogues or separate final conversations.

That matters for how you plan the last half hour. If you want both achievements, you have to run the ending twice, because the game does not offer a way to see the other outcome from inside a single playthrough. One guide adds that the second run does not need to be a full replay and that either branch can be reached without starting the story over.

Exposing the Radiant Path or reporting it to the police

The wording around this ending causes more confusion than the ending itself, because the expose reply involves the police and a much later email arrives from a police department about a separate matter.

The exposed branch is the one where the files go to the police, and that is the whole of the police connection at the fork. It is worth separating it from a scene that one walkthrough records after the ending, in which a message arrives a year later from an officer at the Crawford Police Department discussing the investigation into the Ohio uprising and noting that the members were unhappy once the truth came out.

That later message is a follow-up scene rather than a third ending, and the guide that records it only describes the route where Iris is answered with the revenge line. The same source also records the closing beat: the scene jumps forward a year and Iris sends a gallery invitation with a portrait attached. Read the two together and the year-later material looks like the game's epilogue rather than a branch.

Reaching the fork quickly on a second run

Both guides that document the fork also describe a fast route to it, and both attach the same warning to it.

The shortcut skips most of the puzzles and most of the story, and one of the two guides states in capitals that you should play the game normally before using it. The other notes that the fast route does not unlock the other achievements, which makes it a poor fit if you are still collecting them. One of the guides puts the full run at around ten minutes or less.

If you are only missing one ending achievement, the shortcut is the shortest path to it. If you are missing several, the full walkthrough will get you the rest of them at the same time rather than in addition to a speedrun.
